About Bluff City Host & Web Services
Bluff City Host Web Services (BCHWS) has been developing websites since 1996 for a wide variety of individuals and institutions. Initially writing html source code with a plain text editor, then working with WYSIWYG software such as Dreamweaver and Front Page, since 2007 BCHWS has been working with Joomla! and other content management systems, and is now developing custom extensions for Joomla. Below are some samples of recent work.

Jury System|alias:applied
The Jury-System
For the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music at the University of Memphis, BCHWS developed a paperless jury system for applied music students. Students register with the site (optionally through their Facebook, Twitter or Google accounts), create semester repertoire records and sign up for jury times. Faculty then open up the students' repertoire records and add commentary and a grade for their performance. Results are stored in an online database and emailed to each student and his or her instructor. This system saves students and professors alike significant time and effort in administering this "final exam" for private lessons.
Music School|alias:cms
U of M Community Music School
BCWS created the registration mechanism for the University of Memphis Community Music School. This secure site allows students register and pay for CMS classes, lessons and camps, through the university's online payment processor, TouchNet. The system has over 1000 registered users.

The PRIZM Ensemble website handles participant registration for the annual Chamber Music Festival, ticket sales for PRIZM concerts, festival photo access subscriptions, donations, a mass email newsletter, and sheet music downloads for festival participants.
The PRIZM Ensemble is a group of classically-trained Memphis area musicians. They are committed to developing and highlighting local talent. They have attended the world's great music schools and they perform high-level, interactive chamber music concerts that focus on giving audiences the necessary tools to be engaged and active listeners.
The PRIZM Ensemble also teaches and performs at the PRIZM Chamber Music Festival which is the only festival of its kind in the state of Tennessee that brings together amateur, professional and student musicians. It combines chamber music playing/training, orchestral playing/training through performance in an un-conducted orchestra, and educational programs such as workshops and master classes.
